Cat-walking and New Nails

Evening all!

This weekend was absolutely killer~ <3
I went to visit one of my good friends as we were
going to go walk her cats on the beach!!

This is "Sushi"...
and that's me walking "Spooky"!
I tried to get a better pic of her here:
But she moves around an awful lot haha.

I also wanted to show you my outfit from last week!
I got a few new bits for winter and I love how comfy they all are!

On Sunday, I looked at the Autumn sales in Lipsy, and found
an awesome top!! Got it in a larger size so it was ruurrrl baggy
Paired it with my tutuha necklace, grey shorts + tights and then my new Primark booties.
I also did "Natsuhmi"'s makeup inm pink + Turquoise. It came out okay, but I look retarded
in the photos I took of it....

As you can probably see in the pictures there, I got a new nail set - FINALLY.
I really love them! Might make them a little more pointy for Expo though this weekend.
Done once again by the lovely Asaka.

Have a good Evening/Day and i'll write again soon <3

BLOG AWARD?! + NEW BARBIE NAIL SET!

Ok, so before my usual dribble of saying what i've been up to,
I casually logged on today that i had 3 more followers
(which is pretty damn cool) - and that I'd been given
A BLOG AWARD.
I freaking wasn't expecting that after like 3 weeks of being here. haha!

The ever-so lovely Golly-Locks handed to me, which I thank her
so so much for! So now, I shall pass it on to a few other blogs I love reading!

So here are the 7 random facts about myself!
1. A lot of people think I am new to Gyaru, but I was Gyaru back in 2005-2007
(if you find pictures, its hilarious and my style is completely different now)
2. I've had a long-running obsession with the Singer/Musician KAMIJO
since I was 7 years old!
3. I bum Disney like there's no tomorrow.
4. I was a UK size 16-18 until I was 14.... ;__;
5. I play Ero-ge/Gal-ge regularly.
6. I am an Operatically-trained vocalist on Grade 5
7. Apparently, when you get to know me, I am weirdly old-fashioned.

and I give this "One Lovely Blog" Award to:

All wonderful blogs which always delight me when I read them! <3

(Please read the fine print)
A Few Rules:
1. Link back to the person who passed you the award.
2. Share 7 random facts about yourself.
3. Award 15 blogs.
4. Drop them a note and tell them about it!

Ok so now onto my lovely new nails!
~My theme was Barbie + MA*RS~
COOL, EH?! They are pretty long this time but I am almost
used to them already, which is really neat.
My friend Asaka did them for me, at Chou Chou Nail Salon
I will review them tomorrow on the UK Gyaru Guide!

Also, yesterday, I met up with my lovely friend Ben,
and we went to the beach to have a mosey along and check out
this fun-fair thing they were having.
I bought an Oyster and some baby octopus <3
Super-delicious, I always look forward to them in summer!

See you later!

Nail Appointments, Jobs & Japan

Evening all~

So yesterday I had a really adventurous day!
I went into Brighton, Had a successful job interview, booked my nail appointment,
went for a tan and put up items for sale!

For my set of nails, I am getting a MA*RS themed set!

☆★SUPER-EXCITED!★☆

Of course I will post about it. There is no doubting that at all lol.

Tanning went well, I am going to buy a pack of minutes to use up before Japan in 3 weeks
I already tanned a little! *0* super rare for me, I haven't tanned in a good 5 years!
But thanks to my "Hey, Gorgeous" accelerator by SynergyTan
this is finally changing *tears of joy*

.....(this also means i need to change my makeup completely....oh.)
NEVERMIND

Right, so the big thing coming up is my July trip to Japan.
I have been in a pickle for this trip as I got fired from a job
at COMPLETELY THE WRONG TIME.
so I am trying to sell everything bar my soul to get money,
and working as a waitress (only for 1 day a week though.. sigh)

Well - If I super-doll-up on saturday, which also happens to be
"International Gyaru Day", maybe I will earn more tips than usual! hooray!!

Getting my hair done tomorrow! I will blog to show you~ xo

too late to class "beauty sleep"

I am up because I have spent a few hours looking for physical shops that sell cosmetic contact lenses in Tokyo.
I know, I know - there are loads, but I just wanted to whittle down some of them to how much stock they carry etc.
Thrilling, eh?

I also did a little estimate quote on getting a full Mori-Nail set at either Carry or Crea...I did not like the £145-180 price tag whatsoever. If I was earning in Yen then maybe that 13,000-22,000 円 wouldn't be so much.

So, I've decided to get them done at Chou Chou Nails again, Tina is lovely and will make it an art piece, lol.
I'm going with a MA*RS theme as their colours are very lovely, and it should match (most) of my purchases on holiday. I am estimating a £80 price tag, which isn't that bad. I will try to provide as many stones etc as possible to cut costs. haha aahrrhhh i am cheap. ;__; But at the moment, I have to be.

Tanning tomorrow when I wake up!! I can't wait.

xoxo

Update~!

Morning Internet!

Right so, I thought it would be nice to update today~
Alex has gone to work, and so I am at his house...
FOREVER ALL ALONE.

I did Alice's nails on Tuesday!
They are only the 2nd full set I've completed, so I was
very happy with the results! \(^w^)/
But of course I need to improve, still.
Please give your thoughts on them! m(^♥ᴥ♥^)m

Apart from that, Japan is in 3 weeks! (which I am happy for)
X_X; but I still don't have a regular job, Which sucks.
I honestly hope I have this fantastic stroke of luck,
so I can have a good amount of spending money.
I'm aiming for £1k, which to some may seem like a lot,
but tbh, the 円>£ ratio isn't in our favour at the moment,
and I have sold a hell of a lot to be able to go.
Just need that miracle!! D:

JJ October Makeup + Nails + UO SALES

Today, I went downtown (Toronto) with a friend and discovered something AMAZING.

Everytime I go to Urban Oufitters, I never go upstairs because I thought it was only for the men's section and home accessories! BOY WAS I WRONG. There is a CLEARANCE/SALE section there with clothes marked down A LOT!

I found a top I liked from Silence + Noise originally for $42.00, marked down to $19.99! This gets even better~ when the cashier scanned the tag, there was an addtional 50% off. SO I got the top for 10 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That totally made my day :D

The baby pink set of nails are so cute! You know what I've noticed, most North Americans like the square-edge finishing for nails, while asians like more of the rounded finish for nails. What do you like?

Back with more scans! ~ Nail Venus Summer 2009

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of [japanese hair + makeup related] posts~ I have been incredibly busy trying to finish my jewelry blog + facebook page! It's really a lot more work than I expected. Anywho, I'm back with more scans as the title says, this time I found a magazine JUST about nails. It's called Nail Venus and they come up with a new magazine every season. The one I have downloaded is the summer edition of 2009. Enjoy =)

SpyGirl Nails + CanCam Nails

Some of you guys wanted more posts on Makeup and Nails so here is a post of magazine scans from SpyGirl July of Gel nails and CanCam January too! Makeup looks from SpyGirl and CanCam coming soon ~ stay tuned :D

What do you guys think of the new layout? Better or Worse? Leave a comment below or in the cbox!

FEATURED SCAN:
I love these nails! They look very natural yet glamorous. They are gradation nails using very natural colours and sparkles!

How to get these nails:
1) Cut your nails to your desired shape and file down any rough edges.

2) Paint on a light peachy-pink coat of nailpolish on the whole nail

3) Use a nailpolish with sparkles and paint the top half of your nail. Wait for it to dry completely

4) Use the same nailpolish with sparkles and paint the top 1/3 of the nail. Wait for it to dry

5) Use the same nailpolish with sparkles and pain the top 1/5 of the nail. Wait for it to dry

6) Use a clear topcoat nailpolish to give it a nice glossy finish!

Vivi Nails (I)

I really like Japanese nails! They are so precisely decorated with a whole bunch of crystals, bows, and other kawaii things! Here's are few! (Again from Vivi 2009 January to June) Click on the picture to enlarge.

I love the left set of nails! Looks very sophisticated yet mysterious ;) I wonder how they make that white to black gradient....hmmm

The bottom right set of nails look very fun! Great for summer!

To create sleek thin lines with nail polish, try using L.A. COLORS Art Deco. It is just like any normal nail polish except it has a SUPER thin brush which makes it very is to create details on your nails! They come in all sorts of colours and are only $3.00 each! You can get this at www.cherryculture.com or CLICK HERE.

If you don't want to buy online, you could always try your local drugstore or walmart for a similar product.

I recently found the....coolest.....thing....EVER! KONAD STAMPING NAIL ART. This bad boy helps you create patterns on your nails "effortlessly". You buy a stencil and you basically stamp the design onto your nail. You can buy it here. They claim to be easy, but I read many reviews that you need a lot of patience and practice to get it right. Many makeup guru's have tried this...check their videos out! One of my favourite guru to watch is xsparkage, she does a great job on this how-to video!

Thanks for reading! Until next post ;)
